Freedom vs. Safety I honestly don’t really know what to think about Snowden’s defiance.   For the fact that I see both sides of the argument.   For instance, I believe that it is wrong to hack our government and release government secrets, or what could possibly be dangerous to our national security.   So for that reason I do not agree with Snowden’s defiance and am against him doing that.             On the other hand what we have found out from that is concerning too.   The fact that the government can track our phone calls and duration kind of concerned me.   After finding out that the NSA goes further than that and goes through our personal emails and phones is scary.   I don’t like that they have the power to do that.   What also makes me mad is that they are going through all our private stuff but how many terrorist acts/ attacks have been stopped by all this? 1, and it was a cab driver giving $8,500 dollars to Al-Qaida.   Seriously….   Obviously the government doesn’t
11 th Hour This would cause the young children to have a very judgmental/ racist view of Japanese people.   This cartoon was racist in the way they portrayed the Japanese people with their big mouths and squinty eyes.   The propaganda the film makers used in this film wasn’t appropriate for a cartoon film.   Although there is a war going on against Japan it still wasn’t right to do.   I understand that it is good to unify the country but doing it in a cartoon isn’t necessary.   Kids have a sharp mind and will remember things like the Japanese stereotypical look that the film makers used.   Children shouldn’t be corrupted with the stereotypes that were portrayed at that time.
Supervillain Type             I would say the sadistic supervillain is the most dangerous because he or she will hurt literally anyone.   Like the Joker for instance, will kill just about anyone to get Batman’s attention.   In that sense anyone could be in his crosshairs.   With a vengeful villain as long as you stay out of the way of who the villain wants to get revenge on you should be okay.   The straightforward villain isn’t that dangerous because they avoid killing someone unless they deem it necessary.   I think that Heroic villains are dangerous because although they see themselves as heroes they will kill innocents for the good of their cause.   I still think that sadistic villains are more dangerous though. With a sadistic supervillain it also doesn’t matter the number of people or how high you are up in society and the protection you may have.   This type of villain just kills for the fun of it two which is also scary.   These traits only carry over to people that h
Friendships         Friendships have contributed greatly to many of my accomplishments in my life this far and will continue to in the future.   They have helped me in many areas of my life.   They have helped me with my athletics and schooling.   Friendships helped to motivate me to practice and push on and were there to cheer me on at many of my games.   If it wasn’t for my friends I wouldn’t have been the successful athlete that I was in high school or in college.   Two friends in particular helped me to become a better baseball player.   They were always wanting to play baseball and would push me to practice/play with them.   This helped me tremendously and is partially why I am playing baseball in college now.   They also helped me in my schooling.   They would help me with my papers and spell check my papers.   One friend of mine, Abby definitely helped me to be a better writer.   I would often have trouble with wording sentences how I wanted them and she wa
Law of Balance I would say the main thing that I struggle with when it comes to stress is grades, and therefore that is my shadow.   What goes through my mind is “How will I be perceived by others whether it is my teachers, friends, or family.”   The times I get stressed the most is during finals because not only is my plate piled high with homework and studying but then I also get overwhelmed by how it will affect my grade and GPA. Which therefore contributes to what people might think of me.   For me to be able to handle my shadow of stress I have to be able to step back and realize that grades aren’t everything.   Life still goes on and it doesn’t determine life or death or even my success in life. There is 3 different ways to deal with stress according to Deluse article about stress.   The first way to deal with stress or your shadow is to face it head on, or the “Silver Bullet” method.   It is to admit that you have a problem or stressor that is harmful to you.   Next you
