11th Hour
This would cause the young children to have a very
judgmental/ racist view of Japanese people.
This cartoon was racist in the way they portrayed the Japanese people with
their big mouths and squinty eyes. The propaganda
the film makers used in this film wasn’t appropriate for a cartoon film. Although there is a war going on against Japan
it still wasn’t right to do. I understand
that it is good to unify the country but doing it in a cartoon isn’t necessary. Kids have a sharp mind and will remember
things like the Japanese stereotypical look that the film makers used. Children shouldn’t be corrupted with the stereotypes
that were portrayed at that time.
