Kid Heroes/ Sidekicks

            Watching the sidekicks in TV shows when I was young was awesome.  The main sidekick/ kid hero I watched as a kid was Robin because Connor and I watched a lot of Batman and Superman shows and Robin was the main sidekick in the Batman shows.  Another show I watch pretty regularly was Teen Titans which I thought was awesome when I was a kid because who didn’t dream of being a superhero.

            When watching these shows as kid I never thought about whether it was ethical or right that these kids/ teens were doing this.  Looking at these shows now wasn’t probably the most ethical thing.  Having kids and teens fighting dangerous villains that are trying to kill them and sometimes succeed isn’t good. 

            Garth otherwise known as Aqualad was a teenage sidekick to Aquaman.  He had the ability to breathe underwater and talk to creatures of the sea.  He also had super strength and speed.  In this case I didn’t find having Aqualad as being unethical because of his superpowers and age.  Because of his age I felt that he is old enough to make his own decisions when it comes to saving the world.  He also has super powers which helps him to evade danger so that is another reason I find it more acceptable for him to fight crime.

             Friendships         Friendships have contributed greatly to many of my accomplishments in my life this far and will continue to in the future.   They have helped me in many areas of my life.   They have helped me with my athletics and schooling.   Friendships helped to motivate me to practice and push on and were there to cheer me on at many of my games.   If it wasn’t for my friends I wouldn’t have been the successful athlete that I was in high school or in college.   Two friends in particular helped me to become a better baseball player.   They were always wanting to play baseball and would push me to practice/play with them.   This helped me tremendously and is partially why I am playing baseball in college now.   They also helped me in my schooling.   They would help me with my papers and spell check my papers.   One friend of mine, ...

Freedom vs. Safety I honestly don’t really know what to think about Snowden’s defiance.   For the fact that I see both sides of the argument.   For instance, I believe that it is wrong to hack our government and release government secrets, or what could possibly be dangerous to our national security.   So for that reason I do not agree with Snowden’s defiance and am against him doing that.             On the other hand what we have found out from that is concerning too.   The fact that the government can track our phone calls and duration kind of concerned me.   After finding out that the NSA goes further than that and goes through our personal emails and phones is scary.   I don’t like that they have the power to do that.   What also makes me mad is that they are going through all our private stuff but how many terrorist acts/ attacks have been stopped by all this? 1, and it was a cab dr...
